Tim Reams is Green Alpha’s Finance & Operations Manager, and has brought to the team more than 15 years of experience in asset management and financial services.  Tim’s responsibilities are as broad as his experience, covering many aspects of account onboarding, portfolio accounting, client service, compliance testing, new procedure development, and handling corporate financial matters.

Prior to joining Green Alpha Investments, Tim was the Senior Investment Accountant at Meadows Urquhart Acree & Cook, LLP in Richmond, VA from 2017 to 2021.  At Meadows, Tim specialized in providing assurance, tax, and consulting services to alternative investment funds, including preparing, reviewing, and filing partnership tax returns with high levels of complexity. As a member of their consulting team, he advised entrepreneurial clients in their organizational structure, succession plans, growth plans, and systems management.

Tim previously worked alongside Green Alpha’s COO Betsy Moszeter at TAMRO Capital Partners, LLC in Alexandria, VA. He was key in actively growing the firm’s size and complexity by building processes and developing tools to handle new types of clients and accounts, and training other operations team members. Tim’s daily responsibilities included a variety of client service, portfolio accounting, and middle/back office trading functions.

He began his career at Wachovia Securities in Richmond, VA working in fixed income trading. Tim has a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.

Tim moved to Colorado to join the Green Alpha Team and is enjoying doing all the incredible outdoor activities that the state has to offer.
